North Park University will host the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for an onsite evaluation from October 7–9, 2024. We welcome communities of interest to write and sign third-party comments to CCNE by September 13, 2024.
Post-Master’s Certificate: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
Earn your post-master’s certificate and gain the advanced practice experience you need to be an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP). You’ll be able to:
- Provide health care to patients, from adolescents to those at the end of life, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Manage patients with episodic illness and injury, with chronic disease management, and requiring palliative or end-of-life care.
- Manage transitions between care settings, provide patient and caregiver education and evaluate caregiver competence.
The curriculum prepares graduates to manage medically and psychologically stable patients and to identify, diagnose, and refer those experiencing sudden or progressive deterioration.

School of Nursing and Health Sciences
North Park University’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences has a tradition and reputation for training effective, compassionate caregivers. You’ll study in our state-of-the-art nursing simulation lab, which allows you to practice on “standardized patients” in a safe clinical setting and receive immediate feedback from expert practitioner faculty.
